Moving towards a more info-graphical style, the video is now comming to life and featuring sleek graphics overlayed on the skating footage showing some of the thought process a skateboarder goes through while performing a trick.

It's currently edited to a song but will be re-edited to the vox pops.
This will draw a parallel with how OCD is not too dissimilar to the obsessive nature of a skateboarder when trying to land their tricks.

These videos are about skateboarding/bmx/snowboarding but not in the usual manner, they are concentrating on how it has been used to help people and showing a more mature side of that community which isn't often seen in the usual videos found and seen by the general public. I feel these videos are more relevant to my project as it is less about skill and more about what goes on with the rider.

I'm working on a point of sale which features a broken skateboard and possible other damaged and worn skateboards, carrying on the theme of obsessively retrying a trick until it's perfect but showing the tools which are being used in order to achieve this perfection.

The board will feature a Sugar Skull - with the break acting as the mouth - something which is used to celebrate death in Mexican traditions which is relevant since when a skateboard is broken it is not forgotten but the user doesn't stop their compulsion to perfect their tricks either. A broken skateboard is instead a testament to their perseverance.

Palace skate video

This video has a very old VHS feel to it even though it was filmed in March 2011, with the colour editing and title sequence it makes you think back to the 80s with the rise of links between hip hop and skateboarding.
